🏆Pyramid Solitaire Tips
10 proven strategies to improve your win rate
How to Win at Pyramid Solitaire
Pyramid Solitaire seems simple but requires strategy. These 10 tips will help you consistently clear the pyramid and improve your win rate.
Remove Kings Immediately
Kings (K) have a value of 13, so they can be removed on their own without pairing. Always remove available Kings first - they don't block other cards and free up the pyramid.
Work from the Bottom Up
Start by clearing cards from the bottom row of the pyramid. This exposes more cards above, giving you more pairing options. Never leave the bottom row with easy pairs unplayed.
Plan Multiple Moves Ahead
Before making a pair, check if it will expose useful cards or block future moves. Sometimes it's better to delay a pair to set up a chain of removals.
Use the Stock Wisely
In Egypt Pyramid, you have unlimited passes through the deck. But cycling through the stock costs moves. Try to make pyramid pairs before drawing.
Pair to Expose, Not Just to Remove
When choosing between two valid pairs, prefer the one that exposes more cards. Revealing hidden cards gives you more information and options.
Track Card Values
Remember: A=1, 2-10=face value, J=11, Q=12, K=13. You need to pair cards that sum to exactly 13. Common pairs: A+Q, 2+J, 3+10, 4+9, 5+8, 6+7.
Don't Chase Buried Cards
If a card is buried deep in the pyramid with no clear path to expose it, don't waste moves trying to reach it. Focus on accessible cards.
Save Wild Cards for Late Game
If you have multiple pairing options, save the most versatile cards (like 6s and 7s which pair with many cards) for when options are limited.
Use the Undo Feature
If the game allows undo, use it to experiment. Try different pair sequences and see which leads to better outcomes.
Practice Pattern Recognition
After playing many games, you'll start to recognize common pyramid patterns. Learn which card arrangements are solvable and which are traps.
